A bespoke herb and spice rack designed as a feature piece for this characterful kitchen, built entirely from reclaimed oak boards. The reused flooring preserves its original knots, grain and patina, giving a warm, rustic feel while the carefully shaped shelves and uprights showcase precise, modern joinery.​
Each jar has its place, turning everyday cooking essentials into a display, and the solid oak construction ensures this rack will age beautifully alongside the rest of the home.
The spice rack was first laid out and shaped in the workshop using custom templates to keep every rail consistent and evenly spaced.
Once assembled, it was carefully fixed to the kitchen wall using a laser level, ensuring the rack sits perfectly plumb and aligned with the surrounding space.
Matching reclaimed oak shelves were then fabricated and fitted, sweeping out from the central rack into full-width runs down each side of the wall.
The flowing curves tie the whole piece together, turning a simple spice rack into a continuous, built-in storage feature for the kitchen.
